Generation Gap by Jon J. Murakami

Jon J. Murakami earned his bachelor’s degree in fine arts from the University of Hawai‘i at Mänoa. He is head artist and writer for Maile Way Products greeting cards and draws a comic strip called “Calabash,” which is featured on alternative Sundays in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and online. The yonsei artist also draws a comic book called “Gordon Rider,” featuring “the worse superhero in Hawai‘i.” Jon has illustrated several books, including “The Original Pot Cats on O‘ahu” written by former Herald staff writer Genevieve Suzuki, and “Going to the Zoo in Hawai‘i” and “Geckos Trick or Treat.” He recently finished another “Gecko” book and has several projects in the works.
