Lisa Furukawa is a Japanese American pianist/singer-songwriter who originally hails from Tokyo. She started studying piano at the age of three and frequently translates popular songs into Japanese. Her music style covers Japanese folk, electronica and alternative pop. She has been performing since 2000 and has released three albums: This Moment Is The Show (2001), Pearl Diver (2005) and Reaching the Dragon (2006). Furukawa also has BA’s in Music and Asian Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill.
